Hearing about a suicide is always awful, even if it was someone I did not know personally.  My undergraduate community is surely in shock and devastated by such news, current students and alumni included.  And although, again, I did not know this girl, I too am saddened.

Having teetered on that ledge at times, I wish I could have said to her what others have said to me.

People love you.

Even those who did not get to meet you.

And you will be very missed.


And when you wake up
everything is going to be fine.
I guarantee that you wake up in a better place
in a better time.
So you're tired of living,
and you feel like you might give in,
well don't.
It's not your time.
